Last 2 Months Study Plan for UPSC IAS Prelims
Devote 2 months solely for Revision
The final two months leading up to the exam should be spent revising the static and current events syllabus. Examine the reference books and study materials thoroughly. Create a daily, weekly, and monthly study schedule to cover the complete syllabus in the following two months, according to your schedule. Revise your core concepts and go through the general studies notes for upsc prelims you have made during preparation.
Attempt Regular Mock Tests
The final months should be spent completely revising and practicing questions from mock examinations and previous year's papers. Attempt as many mock tests as you can in a week, review your performance, analyze your weakness and strengths, lastly but most importantly take action to capitalize on your strengths and work on your weaknesses to improve your performance.
Avoid Anything New
Now is not the time to begin studying a new topic or resource. Aspirants frequently consult various sources for current events, and they frequently seek new resources to ensure that they do not miss any current events. It is critical that applicants use only real current affairs resources and refrain from consulting any new books or websites.
Similarly, starting any new topic in the last month can jeopardize your preparation immensely. It can eat up your valuable revision time, and therefore you can miss out on the chance of capitalizing on something that you have thoroughly studied earlier.
Solve Previous Year Question Papers
You should solve and examine previous years' UPSC question papers so that you can acquire a good sense of the types of questions asked by the UPSC, even if you are short on time. Also, keep in mind that the USPC does not ask the same questions twice. This will assist you in setting study priorities.
